two. drapery is awesome. [Jul. 31st, 2008|12:08 am]
Oh, I am happy to be able to be in a room of my own again! I mean, Europe was wonderful, but I missed Florida, and people speaking English, and not having a nanny two steps behind me telling me what to do every five seconds in a voice I could barely understand.

I've only just started unpacking in my new apartment. It's... a lot different from my old one. I decided to buy drapes from both Barcelona, and Paris, and I'll just switch them around each month, I think. Or each season? Hmm. They're both are quite beautiful, I adore them. One set is smoky blue sheer-lace and has a lovely floral embroidery design, and then the other set is ivory with gold vine-leaf embroidery on the edges, and you know I had to get matching bed-sheets for both, and a rug that would go with both, and then I bought this adorable figurine of a cat, and I think I may spent a little too much money on this trip.

So, is everyone excited for the start of classes in just a couple of days? Everyone getting settled in all right?

one. in which duchess is in europe abouts. [Jul. 13th, 2008|12:13 am]
A blogging system, how lovely!

Mother seems to think I'm old enough to wander about a foreign city by myself. Lovely. "By myself" of course meaning with a driver, and a nanny by my side. Can't leave home without them! I can barely understand what Olga says, though, and I think she keeps giving me the evil eye. Then again, perhaps her face is just... stuck like that.

She's a nice lady, really. Just. Always there. I understand that every young lady needs a chaperon, but I am an adult, she doesn't have to follow me into the Ladies Room.

Father says we'll be back in Florida at the end of the month, just in time to return to Kingdom for the new school year. I've a new apartment, I can't wait to move in there officially! I think I'll buy some nice new curtains for it while I'm in Barcelona or Paris.

Which city do you, students of Kingdom University, think would have better curtains?
